Konken is rummy stripped down to its fastest form. With only ten cards and no minimum to open, you can lay down melds from your very first turn, and anyone may add to any meld on the table.

Play Konken Rummy online with friends
Konken has no opening threshold, so even newcomers lay down melds from their first turn, and it is easy to teach a friend right at the table. Two to six players can join, and anyone who wants to learn first can watch a live table before taking a seat.
How to play
- 1
Each player gets 10 cards. One card is turned face up to start the discard pile.
- 2
On your turn, draw from the stock or take the top discard.
- 3
Lay down any runs or sets you like; there is no minimum. Add cards to any meld on the table.
- 4
Discard one card to end your turn. You cannot discard the card you just took.
- 5
Empty your hand to win the hand. Going out in a single turn is a Konken!

Frequently asked questions
Are aces high or low?
Both: A-2-3 and Q-K-A are valid runs, but runs never wrap around.

Four, in two full decks (108 cards).
