Cacheta
Nine cards, a wild rank, ten lives
Cacheta, also called Pife, is Brazil’s favourite rummy: two decks, nine cards each and no printed jokers — the turned card, the vira, makes the next rank of its colour wild. Meld every card and go out (bater), and the others lose a point or two. Everyone starts with ten, and the last player left wins.

Play Cacheta online with friends
At Masa, Cacheta is a game of its own right next to Konken Rummy: pick it in the games list, open a table and share its code or link with your friends, or sit at a house table. Bots fill the empty chairs, and voice chat keeps the table talking.
How to play
- 1
Cacheta: 9 cards each. Meld them all, then go out (bater). Everyone has 10 points; the last player in wins.
- 2
Draw from the stock or take the top of the pile, then discard. Your melds stay in your hand.
- 3
The turned card (vira) makes the next rank of its colour wild — gold dot in your hand. One wild per meld.
- 4
Sets have exactly three suits (a 4th card only a copy of one of them). A plays low (A-2-3) or high (Q-K-A).
Frequently asked questions
Is Cacheta the same game as Konken Rummy?
No. Cacheta is played at the same kind of table as Konken Rummy, but with rules of its own — see “How to play” above. At Masa it is a game of its own, with its own tables, stats and achievements.
Can I play Cacheta online with friends?
Yes. Open a Cacheta table and share its code or link. Empty seats fill with other players or bots, so a game always starts.
Is Cacheta free to play?
Yes. You play with Chips, which have no cash value: nothing can be won or cashed out.
