Pishti

Pişti

Match the top card, snap up the pile

Pishti is a fast fishing game from Turkey. Play a card on the pile: match its rank to take everything, or throw a jack to sweep it. Snatch a single card with a match and you have scored a pishti.

Play Pishti online with friends

Pishti is quick to learn and even quicker to play, which makes it a favorite for two friends or two teams of two. Partners sit opposite each other at Masa, and voice chat lets you celebrate every pishti together, even from different cities.

How to play

  1. 1

Four cards go to the middle, only the top one face up. Each player gets four cards.

  2. 2

On your turn, play one card onto the pile.

  3. 3

If it matches the rank of the top card, you take the whole pile. A jack takes the pile whatever is on top.

  4. 4

When everyone’s hand is empty, four more cards are dealt until the deck runs out.

  5. 5

The last player to take a pile also collects whatever is left at the end.

Other versions of Pishti

Same table, other rules: each version is a game of its own at Masa, with its own tables, rules and stats.

Frequently asked questions

Can Pishti be played in teams?

Yes. With four players, partners sit opposite each other and share their captures.

Does a jack on a single card count as a pishti?

Only when the single card is also a jack. Otherwise it just takes the pile.

Who sees the three hidden cards?

Whoever takes the first pile gets them, and only that player (or team) may look.
