Hollywood Gin
Three games at once: every win climbs the columns
Hollywood Gin is how Gin Rummy is scored when one game is not enough: three games run side by side. Your first hand won counts in game one, your second in games one and two, and every later win in all three. Each game closes at its own target with its own bonuses, and the higher total of the three takes the match.

Play Hollywood Gin online with friends
At Masa, Hollywood Gin is a game of its own right next to Gin Rummy: pick it in the games list, open a table and share its code or link with your friends, or sit at a house table. Bots fill the empty chairs, and voice chat keeps the table talking.
How to play
- 1
Two players. Arrange your cards into melds and keep your deadwood low. When someone reaches 100 points, the higher final score wins the prize pool.
- 2
Each player gets 10 cards. One card is turned up to start the discard pile.
- 3
The player who didn't deal may take the upcard first; if they pass, the dealer may. If both pass, the non-dealer draws from the stock.
- 4
On your turn, draw from the stock or take the top discard, then discard one card. You can't throw back the card you just took from the pile.
- 5
Melds are 3 or 4 cards of the same rank, or 3 or more in a row of one suit. Aces are low: A-2-3 counts, Q-K-A doesn't.
- 6
Cards outside your melds are deadwood: aces 1, number cards their value, J, Q and K 10.
- 7
Knock when your deadwood is 10 or less. Your opponent may lay off cards on your melds, then the lower deadwood scores the difference.
