Contrée
Coinche with no announcements, only belote-rebelote
Contrée is the bidding Belote of the south of France, the coinche played for points alone: the teams bid from 80 to capot and name trump, the others may contrer to double and the bidders surcontrer, but nobody announces a tierce or a carré — only belote-rebelote still scores. Every contract is won or lost in the eight tricks.

How to play
- 1
4 players in 2 teams — partners sit across from each other. The first team to 2000 points wins; the winning partners share the prize pool.
- 2
32 cards, 7 to ace. In trump, the jack and the nine are the strongest cards.
- 3
Everyone gets 8 cards. Bid the points your team will make (80 to 160, or Capot for every trick) and name trump. Think they can't make it? Coinche doubles the bid — the bidders can surcoinche to make it ×4.
- 4
Follow the suit led. If you can't, you must trump — unless your partner is winning the trick. When trump is led, or an opponent has trumped, play a higher trump if you can.
- 5
This table plays without declarations.
