Partnership Hearts
Partners across, the lower team total wins
Partnership Hearts plays like classic Hearts — pass three cards, avoid every heart and the Queen of Spades — but the two players sitting across are a team and add their points together. Help your partner duck, dump your hearts on the other side, and when a total reaches 100 the team with the lower total wins.

How to play
- 1
Partners across add their points; the lower team wins
- 2
Everyone gets 13 cards. There are no trumps.
- 3
Before each hand, pass 3 cards: to the left, then to the right, then across. Every fourth hand nobody passes.
- 4
The player with the 2 of clubs leads it. Nobody may play a heart or the Queen of Spades on the first trick unless they have nothing else.
- 5
Follow the suit that was led if you can; if you can't, play any card. The highest card of the suit led wins the trick, and the winner leads next.
- 6
You can't lead hearts until a heart has been played on an earlier trick — unless you have nothing left but hearts and the Queen of Spades.
