Romanian Makao

A version of Crazy Eights

Aces are wild, fours stop the next

Romanian Makao, the way Romania and Moldova play it, keeps Makao’s attacks and adds its own: 2s, 3s, the hitting kings and the jokers make players draw, 4s stop the next player, and an ace goes on anything to change the suit. Call “Last card!” when you have one left.

Play one card that matches the top card's suit or number.

  3. 3

    52 cards and 2 jokers, 5 each.

  4. 4

2 and 3: the next player draws 2 or 3; the K♥ hits the next player for 5, the K♠ the previous one; a joker goes on anything: 5. Answer with an attack card of the same suit or number — it adds up.

  9. 9
