Gömmeli Batak

A version of Batak

Three players, four cards buried, bid from 8

Gömmeli Batak is batak for three. Four cards go face down on the floor and everyone gets 16. Win the auction, name trump, bury four of your own cards and take the four from the floor — luck decides what you get. Make your bid, and take at least two tricks yourself.

How to play

  1. 1

Three players; four cards go face down on the floor and everyone gets 16.

  2. 2

Bid from 8 to 13 tricks — a pass is final. If everyone passes, the first bidder plays 7.

  3. 3

The highest bidder names trump, buries four of their own cards face down and takes the four from the floor; everyone sees them.

  4. 4

The bidder leads. Follow suit and beat the trick if you can; if you can’t follow, trump. Trump can’t be led until it has been played.
