Kozel
Pairs write down their pips: the first to 101 is the goat
Kozel — «забивать козла» — is the dominoes of Russian and Ukrainian courtyards. Two pairs share the whole double-six set, seven tiles each, and the 1-1 opens. Whoever goes out wins the hand, and the losers write down the pips left in their hands — a lone 0-0 counts 25, a lone 6-6 50. The first side to reach 101 is the goat.

Play Kozel online with friends
At Masa, Kozel is a game of its own right next to Dominoes: pick it in the games list, open a table and share its code or link with your friends, or sit at a house table. Bots fill the empty chairs, and voice chat keeps the table talking.
How to play
- 1
Don't be the goat: keep your pips low.
- 2
Play one tile that matches an open end of the line. Doubles go crosswise.
- 3
7 tiles each. Four players get the whole set; fewer draw from the bazaar, whose last tile stays.
- 4
The 1-1 opens the first hand; after that the winner of a hand leads.
- 5
2 vs 2: partners sit across and share one score.
House rules
Pick any of these when you create a table; a table that changes none plays the rules above.
- Start writing at 13 — Every score is written down
- Lone 0-0 and 6-6 — The 0-0 and 6-6 count their pips
