Kierki
Seven penalty deals, then trumps
Kierki is the classic Polish card game for four: eleven deals in a fixed order. Seven penalty deals — no tricks, no hearts, no queens, no kings or jacks, no king of hearts, no 7th or last trick, then the robber with all of them at once — and four trump deals. The highest total wins.

How to play
- 1
Eleven deals: seven penalty deals in a fixed order, then four trump deals. The highest total wins.
- 2
The first dealer is drawn by lot, then everyone deals in turn; the player after the dealer leads.
- 3
Follow suit if you can; if you can’t, play any card — you never have to trump or throw a penalty card.
- 4
In the deals that count hearts, hearts are not led while you hold another suit.
- 5
A deal of penalty cards ends as soon as all of them are taken.
- 6
In a trump deal the dealer names trump after seeing only their first five cards, then leads.
